Revitalizing Cuticle Oil Semicured Gel Nails

The 3 Dos and Don'ts of Semicured Gel Nails

Here's a quick list based on my personal experience with the amazing technology that is Semicured Gel. Feel free to add your tips in the comments!

Do this!

1. Prep your nails! This step is the most important to ensure your nails will go the distance. In short - clean, oil free and cuticles pushed back.

2. Cure them under the light until they are firm but still slightly flexible. They will continue to settle over the natural shape of your nails over the next couple of hours.

3. Add a layer of clear polish for and extra glossy finish and the seal the ends. Watch this space for Spirit Fingerz UV top coat coming soon!

Avoid this!

1. Using the nails to add length. Spirit Fingerz need a hard surface to stick to - natural or artificial nails are fine. If you do use them to add length the wear time will be significantly reduced. So if you have a special occasion and you only need a night of wear then go for it BUT if you want them to last - stick them on the nail surface.

2. I discovered this one yesterday without thinking (faceplant). Trying to open a keyring was a great way to remove my thumbnail. Spirit Fingerz are gentle on your nails and will take hard wear BUT be mindful of things like keyrings and ringpull cans. Luckily you will always have a spare in our packs of 20 nails!

3. Be gentle when you lift your nails off. I recommend starting from the tip and working back towards your cuticle and brushing with cuticle oil during the process. our best selling Cuticle Revitalizer Oil is great option in an easy-to-use pen (more yummy scents are coming soon!)
