Q1: What is the difference between semi cured gel nail strips and regular nail polish strips?

Semi cured gel nail strips are made of real gel nail polish which has been cured to 60% and designed to be applied like a sticker.

Q2: Do I need to use a UV lamp to Cure my semi cured gel nail strips?

Yes. These strips are made of gel nail polish cured to 60% and require a UV/LED lamp to cure to 100%. Every lamp is different so we suggest 60-120 seconds of curing time. You can test after 60 seconds and see if you need some more curing to harden the strip more.

Q3: How do I prepare my nails before apply semi cured gel nail strips?

Preparing your nails is the most important step which will determine how long your nail strips will last. If your nails are not prepared correctly you may find the strips are lifting and not lasting a long time.

In order to prepare your nails optimally, you must first make sure your nails are clean from any residue and your cuticles are pushed down. You can do this by using a cuticle stick or scraper. Once your nails are scraped clean and cuticles pushed down then wash your hands with soap. Finally you should wipe your nails with alcohol to make sure any excess oil is removed.

Q4: What's the best way to apply semi cured gel nail strips?

Once your preparation is finished you should pick the correct size sticker for each corresponding nail. If you're in between sizes always size down. Once you peel off the sticker, place it right above the cuticle line making sure the strip does not touch any skin. Rub the strip onto the nail making sure it's attached to the whole nail from the base to the tip. Use the cuticle stick diagonal head to smooth out the edges and push the edges down so they attach firmly. Once you feel the sticker is attached firmly use nail scissors and cut the strip at almost the edge of your natural nail. Repeat for whole hand. Once all stickers are applied, firmly attached and trimmed its time to cure. We suggest curing for 120 seconds to be safe. Once cured gently file to smooth edges.

Q5: Can I leave the nail strip longer than my natural nail?

No. Semi cured gel nail strips are not designed to extend your natural nail. If you would like longer nails, we suggest using artificial nails as a base and apply your Spirit Fingerz on top.
